Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Good things come to those who wait
Performing in a Light Theater production is the highlight of
many summers, but the months and years leading up to the
plays can be an impatient time for many, but as the saying
goes, “good things come to those who wait.”
The Light Theater is family friendly, so before children are old
enough to act, younger siblings can usually take part in some
other way.
In the most recent play, Pride and Prejudice, some of the
younger siblings dressed in period costumes and passed out
programs. Those who aren’t old enough to perform will come
to some practices and know how things work at the Light
Theater. Younger siblings often fill in as dance partners during
practice. Many family members help build sets and help with
moving in to the theater. After the final performance,
everyone pitches in to clean it all.
Growing up around the theater gives many of these younger
siblings a high respect for the theater.
I think we can all agree that waiting isn’t fun. But in the end it is
all worth it
